8th November 2008 is JJ's Medal Test Day.


International Championships
In October John & Jane adjudicated at The International Championships. John & The Brentwood International Centre & Jane at The Royal Albert Hall, London.


Night of 100 Stars
At the 2008 Ballroom Dancers Federation Night of 100 Stars John was joint compere for the evening. Students of JJ's had two exclusive table seats at this fabulous event.

The British Open 2008
John was chosen to adjudicate at the recently held British Open Championships 2008, which is widely regarded as the most prestigious & biggest dancing championship in the world.



Competition
Students of JJ's (children & adults) will be competing at an invitation school competition on Sunday 6th July. Everyone is welcome to participate as you don't need a partner.



The AAIR Charity
John is delighted to host the annual Festival of Dance for the charity, Asthma Allergy & Information Research. In previous year's it has been hosted by both James Martin & Camilla Dallerup. The event was on the 7th March & anyone interested in supporting the charity should see www.aaircharity.org

United Kingdom Open Championships

The UK Open Championships is one of the grand slam events of the competitive dancing circuit & dancers come from all parts of the world to compete in this prestigious event. John was selected to adjudicate at the event which was held at the Bournemouth International Centre over several days in January.



Congratulations

to Kim Parsons who with her partner recently won the British National Senior Latin Championship. It was only a couple of years ago that Kim first walked into one of JJ's classes. Both Kim & Mark are students of John & Jane's.



New Term:
All existing classes commence on the following dates: Wednesday 9th January, Thursday 10th January, Friday 18th January, Saturday 12th January.



New Beginner Classes starting January 2008.
Wednesday classes start 16th January at 8pm, Thursday classes start 17th January at 8.15pm, Friday classes start 18th January at 8pm & Saturday classes for children start 19th January.

It takes Two
John is currently undertaking some behind the scenes consultancy work for the TV show 'It Takes Two' which is on BBC 2. This is the follow-up & background programme to 'Strictly Come Dancing'.


Competition
JJ's students are competing at a competition in Sittingbourne on the 21/10/07.

BDF Youth Training

John was chosen to do a dance workshop / lecture on behalf of the Ballroom Dancers Federation for England’s top elite young competitive dance couples.

The Byrnes Family:
Jane & John are delighted to announce the birth of their TWINS, named Juliana & Jackson.


John adjudicated The Champions of Tommorrow at The Wintergardens, Blackpool.


JJ's Medalist Competition was held on the 25th February in Beckenham. Various dance schools were invited & a fantastic time was had by all. Watch this space for the announcement of JJ's next competition.


Jane adjudicated (for the first time) The Open British Championships (24th May- 1st June 2007) at The Wintergardsens, Blackpool. This event is probably the most famous dance competition in the world & is commonly termed as the meca of dancing.


9th June 2007, JJ's class students competed at the Stars of The Future (Brentwood International Centre).


The International Championships
This is one of the Grand Slam events of the dancing world. It is open to Professionals & Amateur couples from all around the world but they must qualify first (approx. top 50) before they reach this stage. The Championship was held at The Royal Albert Hall, London - Thursday 12th October 2006, & John was there to adjudicate along with other illustrious adjudicators from around the world.


The International Championships (Juveniles / Juniors)
John adjudicated at this event which encompasses Children of all ages & the Seniors from all around the world. Brentwood International Centre - 10th October 2006.
